Since taking on its first restoration project in 1969, Landmarks has come across many interior and exterior later-added building components that must be removed to accomplish an authentic restoration. Landmarks established Rescued Relics—a not-for-profit salvage warehouse—offering many historic architectural elements and salvage materials from a variety of building styles and periods. It has become the “go-to” resource for those working on local home renovation projects while also offering those with more modern houses a unique and inexpensive home supply store.
The salvage inventory at Rescued Relic includes—but is not limited to—sinks, doors, light fixtures, mantels, window sashes, built-ins, balustrades, and many other unique items that ignite the creativity of home renovators.
Rescued Relics also accepts donations of pre-1960s building materials and architectural elements from other home renovators, contractors, and remodelers. Donations are tax-deductible, as all proceeds directly benefit Landmarks/Old Alabama Town—a 501c3 non-profit organization. All funds raised are used to maintain the historic structures at Old Alabama Town.

Landmarks Foundation salvage warehouse operated at Old Alabama Town for pre-used architectural artifacts and materials from various building styles and periods. Proceeds benefit preservation projects at our museum.
